Yes, a CT requisition can be modified until Pipeline's Regional office has not processed it.

A common carrier system implies that capacity in a natural gas pipeline, over and above the pipeline entity’s own requirement and capacity allocated on a contract carrier basis, available to any other entity on a non-discriminatory “first-come-first served” basis subject to the latter entering into a contract for transporting a volume of natural gas normally for a period of less than one year.

A contract carrier system implies the capacity in a natural gas pipeline, over and above the pipeline entity’s own requirements, available to any other entity subject to execution of a firm contract for transportation of a volume of natural gas for a period of minimum one year, on mutually agreed terms and conditions.

After CT requisition has been raised in the website, a unique system generated CT requisition number shall be provided. The CT requisition shall subsequently flow to concerned Pipeline's Regional Office of IOCL, who shall process the CT requisition further.

Yes, payment securitization is required. One of the following payment securitization has to be provided by customer:


  1. Letter of Credit (LC) to be provided for value of 2 fortnights of gas transmission. Value of one fortnight is 16 days transmission tariff of gas at MDQ plus any other charges and taxes & duties there on. Aggregate liability of issuing bank shall be two times the face value of LC Format of LC shall be as per Format C of GTA.
  2. Bank Guarantee (BG) to be provided for value of 3 fortnights of gas transmission. Value of one fortnight is 16 days transmission tariff of gas at MDQ plus any other charges and taxes & duties there on.
  3. Mix of BG for one fortnight and SD for two fortnight value. Value of one fortnight is 16 days transmission tariff of gas at MDQ plus any other charges and taxes & duties there on.
  4. Mix of BG for two fortnight and SD for one fortnight value. Value of one fortnight is 16 days transmission tariff of gas at MDQ plus any other charges and taxes & duties there on.
Yes, CT request can get rejected on the following grounds

  1. Requested capacity is not available in the pipeline
  2. Adequate payment securitization as per GTA is not provided
  3. Details filled in CT requisition is incomplete or inadequate
  4. Customer has not signed and sent the CT received through e-mail.

A new customer shall fill up a form by clicking New Customer tab and shall provide details of the company , contact person, plant location, capacity requirement details etc. After submission of the form, IOCL shall contact within 3 working days and shall guide further for signing of requisite agreements.

To login into the portal for raising CT booking request, Password shall be provided to existing shippers through E-Mail. Existing customers shall use customer ID (SAP code) and this Password to login into the website for raising request for booking common carrier capacity.
